Meridian Center, the newest Ft. Myers Corporate Park and Retail Center breaks ground in high style!
Full Description:
Ft. Myers, Florida – July 12, 2007: Dozens of participants gathered on July 2nd to witness the groundbreaking of Meridian Center, the newest mixed use corporate park in Ft. Myers. This invitation-only event included the developers, the selected construction firm, representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, and some prospective Meridian Center tenants.
Located along Ben Hill Griffin Parkway in Ft. Myers, Meridian Center will offer convenience and access to both consumers and businesses. The strategic location is 3/8 of a mile from Southwest Florida International Airport and less than two miles from Florida Gulf Coast University. Access to I-75 is via both Alico Road (south) and Daniels Parkway (north).
This project marks the entry into Southwest Florida by a joint venture team of experienced developers, Greenwich Development, based in Miami and local developer Realco Group. Hoar Construction, LLC has been selected as the general contractor for the first phase of construction; Cushman & Wakefield has been selected as the exclusive real estate broker for the project.
Larry Pearce, Partner at Realco Group led the opening remarks and shared his impressions about the development. “I know I speak for our entire development team when I say how grateful we are to be participants in the spectacular new future of Ft. Myers,” he said. Larry also thanked Chris Bundschu, President of Bundschu Kraft LLC, the original landowner of the site, for his original long term vision.
“We are so excited about this partnership with Realco Group as it was a great opportunity to join forces with an experienced developer in Southwest Florida and continue with our geographicalour geographical diversification plan” said Ernesto Lopes CEO of Greenwich Development.
